People Were Complaining About The Putrid Smell, But When We Walked In, They Could Not Believe Their Eyes!

Nobody wanted to go near a building in Toliara, Madagascar, because of there was a horrible smell that emanated from it. But finally, Soary Randrianjafizanaka, the regional head of Madagascar’s environmental agency, couldn’t deny the problem any more. She asked some environmental colleagues and local authorities to join her as she approached the building.

They opened the door after obtaining the proper legal documentation. But, what they saw inside was very totally shocking. The smell was putrid, which left them distraught. There were many thousands of radiated tortoises inside the house. It was obvious that some people were planning to do a black-market trade with this endangered species. 


There were 9,888 tortoises, 180 ones of them were dead. Unfortunately, a few weeks later about 575 tortoises also passed away as they were severely underfed and dehydrated. Watch the video above to have more information.
