The 265 Animals In Yemen Are Dying Of Starvation And No One Is Talking About It
265 creatures are starving to death at Tiaz zoo in Yemen because of the civil war.
A small team of volunteers from Bear Rescue and SOS Zoo are now taking care for these animals. Chantal Jonkergouw, who is based in Sweden, and set up the team, said that it costs about £3,250 a week to keep the animals alive.
She added that food supplies are also desperately low, which means that stopping the animals from death is a big miracle.
Chantal said that many of the animals show a condition that can affect animals in captivity which called "zoochosis”. Watch the video above to have more information.
