Woman Rescues Child Buried Alive With Umbilical Cord Still Attached. 20 Years Later, He Finds Her
While Azita Milania was jogging with her dogs in 1988 in Altadena, California, she discovered something she had never expected. One of her dogs started pawing at the ground. She removed the earth and found 2 small human feet sticking out from a shallow grave.
It was a child! His umbilical cord was still stuck. As she removed the dirt from the baby's mouth and nose, Milania begged him not to pass away.
In 1998, she told LA Times that the boy grabbed her wrist and stopped crying".
The baby taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital to have his recovery. He was named Matthew Whitaker and was adopted. Matthew Whitaker and Azita Milania have reunited after 2 decades. Watch the video above to see their reunion.
